DMC 2015 China International Exhibition on Die & Mould Manufacturing Technology and Equipment, organized by the China Die & Mould Industry Association and hosted by Shanghai International Exhibition Co., Ltd., will be held at the Shanghai New International Expo Center on May 25-28, 2015. It will build a broad window for the enterprises to develop technology exchanges, economic cooperation, equipment procurement, market development and expansion of trade, leading the technical progress of the industry. Simultaneously, the seventh council meeting of China Die & Mould Industry Association will be held. DMC2015 will also convene the “Forum on Integration of Die & Mould Automated Processing and Forming” and “3D Manufacturing and Die & Mould Forming Technology Seminar”, which are the wind vane of the industry technology. Domestic and foreign experts will be invited to give thematic reports and describe the application.
Chinese government has attached importance to the development of dies & moulds as well as their processing technology and equipment. In the recent 20 years, dies & moulds and the manufacturing technology and equipment have been listed as key elements in the Industries, Products and Technologies Catalog Encouraged by the State and Catalog of Industries Encouraging Foreign Investment; the Twelfth Five-year Plan for Economic and Social Development of the People's Republic of China has listed dies & moulds in the key development of manufacturing industry; the Twelfth Five-year Plan for the die & mould industry was published in the name of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and is included in the planning of machinery industry; the Twelfth Five-year Plan for Basic Mechanical Parts, Basic Manufacturing Processes and Basic Materials Industry issued by the MIIT not only clearly takes dies & moulds as the focus of basis products, but also considers dies & moulds as the base and guarantee for transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry; the Twelfth Five-year Plan for Import and Export of Electromechanical and High-tech Products prepared by the Ministry of Commerce also includes dies & moulds in the special plan. The newly adopted Industrial Base Strengthening Special Key Directions in 2014 also has included the multi-position efficient progressive die and mould.
Although the total demand of dies & moulds declines in the world, China’s die & mould industry has exported more dies & moulds, fully showing its competitiveness. China's overall level of die & mould manufacturing technology has made great progress with some products having approached or reached the international level, and China’s dies & moulds occupy an increasingly important position in the international procurement pattern. In 2013, the dies & moulds sales of China increased by 11% year on year, the dies & moulds production capacity (output) was nearly 200 billion Yuan; according to customs statistics, the total dies & moulds import and export of China in 2014 is 3.656 billion USD, the imports totaling 1.346 billion USD and the exports totaling 2.31 billion USD. Comparing with the same period of last year, the total imports and exports increased by 14.7%, of which the total exports increased by 17.29% and the total imports increased by 10.51%. The demands of international and domestic market continue to grow and the industry develops steadily.
Stimulated by domestic demands in China and with the cost-effective advantages of Chinese dies & moulds in the international dies & moulds procurement, it can be expected that the dies & moulds industry in China will
have greater growth. With higher requirements of the forming technology development on the integration of dies & moulds and equipment, the die & mould making companies are involved in the production of moulding equipment and parts. These factors will result in China’s increasingly strong demand for advanced processing equipment, forming equipment, manufacturing software, tools and tooling equipment.
Basing on original precision die & mould machining and manufacturing measurement technology, part forming and die & mould technology, materials, tools and equipment, as the special exhibition of integration of forming technology, machine tool and die & mould, the DMC 2015 will also focus on the exhibition of die & mould automation manufacturing and forming integration, 3D manufacturing and die & mould forming technologies in W4 & W5 Precision Manufacturing Hall and W3 Materials and New Forming Technologies Hall. As the largest die & mould user, the automotive industry drives the rapid development of China's die & mould industry through its own rapid development, and the advance of die & mould level will also promote the transformation and upgrading of China's automotive industry. Basing on the above consensus, DMC2015 will again set up automotive dies & moulds and equipment exhibition to build the platform for exchange of die & mould industry and part industry, enhance industry matching, and promote the industry development. W1 Automotive Die & Mould Hall will exhibit synchronous development of automotive die & mould, test tool, fixture and welding production line, mould pressing integration, mould forming integration, mould-fixture integration and other overall solutions as well as composite material forming process and die & mould; W2 Hall will cover comprehensive dies & moulds.
China Die & Mould Industry Association has over 1,200 corporate members. It is the only national mould industry organization administrated by SASAC and registered with the Ministry of Civil Affairs.
